RED ROOM

I know it sounds really disturbing. However, I will no longer have a red bedroom at my house after this weekend. Adam and I decided that we are going to re-paint the bedrooms in our house. Needless to say, ADAM HATES PAINTING. So I now took on the new task of painting the house. I will post pictures when it is done. I can't promise that it will look good.

Feliz cumpleaños

So, Brooklyn will be 2 as of tomorrow.

THANK YOU DORA, she now knows the happy birthday song in spanish.
She also knows that she is really really damn cute when she gets all excited when that episode comes on the TV and she starts singing it.

However, I am going to be really really excited when her birthday is over. They are way to much work and I don't think I can handle a birthday party every year.
if that makes me a bad mom, so be it. But, I don't see the point in spending all the money to entertain 20 little 2-10 year olds and lose my sanity.

NEW "ike"

So, Mommy and daddy have no self control. Mommy went to the store to look for a new bedspread and ended up with a new bike and helmet for Brooklyn. I was too impatient to wait for her birthday (3 weeks away) and just gave it to her when I got home.


So, Brooklyn got all suited up and decided that she wanted to ride her "ike" and we took her outside. Daddy is more patient than I am because she does not pedal forward, she tries to go backwards and it stops her.

Anyhow, after 30 minutes of frustration up and down the street I decided it was time to go in. She was not happy. I had to "park" the bike like we do mommies car and drag her in the house kicking and screaming.

Then comes the helmet. She wandered around the house for about 40 minutes wearing it before it started to bug me because it kept falling over her eyes so I RIPPED it off her along with the knee and elbow pads.

WE LOVE EASTER EGGS. We had the easter egg hunt at Auntie Stephs house this year. Each kid had their own color that they had to find. Nana put some money and candy in each of them. They had so much running around the yard trying to find them all.

Easter Dress

DRESSES/BROOKLYN not a good mix!!!!

So we have come to the conclusion in my house that we do not put Brooklyn in dresses. SHE HATES THEM. Nana and I found a darling Easter dress. I decided to try it on her the night before. Tantrum central. I figured it was because she was really tired. So off to bed she went. The next morning I got her up and bathed and got her hair done. Time for the dress.

needless to say, we had to distract her to actually keep her in the dress. But she looked so darn cute.

HAPPY EASTER

So, Easter just happened to be on Adam's borthday this year. For some reason people felt like that was a reason to spoil Brooklyn. The Easter Bunny (Mommy, Grammy and Auntie Allyssa) brought her 3 easter baskets. She tore into that chocolate faster than anything.

Getting her to eat breakfast that morning was a NIGHTMARE. But she sure was cute.

Monster Truck Birthday/Valentines

So as we all know, I turned 23 this year. I was all excited thinking that my husband was going to go all out this year with the birthday presents and dinner and everything, even though I am totally not the romatic type. Anyhow, so I took my birthday off work. YEAH.
Me and A couple of my sisters and my niece and my mom went and got pedicures and went out to lunch. It was supposed to be a relaxing experience. IT WASN'T. Shopping with an 11 year old was a NIGHTMARE. She asked if she could buy a thong. Yes a thong....... my sister was horrified.
Anyhow, so I finally dragged my mom and my sisters out of the mall and went home. Hoping that I could relax and finally not do ANYTHING. WRONG! I totally forgot that I needed to set up Adam's valentines present. I cleaned the bedroom, made it all romantic for him, ran him a bubble bath and it was set. A romantic room for our valentines. He gets homes and what does he arrive in, a BRIGHT YELLOW MONSTER TRUCK.

Adam: "Come on lets go for a drive"
Sara: "where on earth are we going in that thing"
Adam: "Well I need to run up to work real quick"
Sara: "Ok what did you get me for my birthday?"
Adam: "oh yeah, let me go get it"

5 Minutes later

Adam " Here Happy Birthday, I also got you Rascal Flatts Tickets"
(I open my I pod touch)
Sara: "Thank you babe I love it"
Adam: "lets go for a drive"
Sara: "ok"

60 Minutes Later

Sara: " We really need to get home, it is getting late and we have not eaten"
Adam: "well I guess we can go to Lorenas"
Sara: "ok you don't have to ask me twice"

60 Minutes later and 10:00 at night

We arrive home. In a monster truck, tired and wanting to go to bed.

Sara: "Goodnight babe, thank you for my presents."
Adam: "your welcome. Love you"
